Scott T. Ruchar, 42, of Grafton, NY, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at home.
Scott was born on November 21, 1970 in Walton, the son of Thomas and Sandra (Knapp) Ruchar. He was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College. He was owner-operator of Tech Valley Machining, in Latham.
Scott enjoyed tinkering, inventing and making something out of nothing. He worked on and restored cars, trucks, construction equipment, and any piece of machinery, with wheels or without, that needed fixing.
Scott was a shy and humble man who loved his kids and his family.
He is survived by his loving family, his children, Makayla, Nash, Alanna and Thomas, his mother, Sandra Hunter, Oneonta; his grandparents, George W. and Sally Knapp, Oneonta; brother, Dustin and Christine Hunter, Oneonta; sister, Carolyn and David Ruff, Oneonta; his faithful companion Josette Goodfellow and her children, Elizabeth Perkins, Timothy Cossu, Christina Goodfellow, Renee Goodfellow; and Marissa Goodfellow; his special cousin and friend, Jonathan Ruchar, Andes, the mother of his children, Jennifer, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, He was predeceased by his father Thomas Ruchar.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY where services will be held on Monday, morning at 11 AM. Burial will be held privately at Andes Cemetery.
