I would like to express my deepest condolences to Mr. Cady's family. I have very fond memories of him from my younger years living in Walton, and was extremely sad to hear of his passing. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We knew Gary back in the late 70s and 80s. He was a good guy. Our prayers are with you.

My condolences to Gary's family. I knew Gary as I was working in the Otsego County Clerk's office as Deputy Clerk and Acting County Clerk. He will be missed by all his friends and family. God bless.

I had the chance to meet Gary for the first time, just over a month ago on October 14th at his DMV Office in Deposit, NY. At that time I had the honor and privilege to present Gary with the Vietnam Veterans National Medal. The medal was authorized by an ‘Act of Congress in 1984’ and is IN HONOR OF THOSE MEN AND WOMEN WHO GAVE OF THEMSELVES IN AN EFFORT TO ENSURE DEMOCRACY AND PEACE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. Gary and I both served in Vietnam in the 60’s. It was an honor to meet Gary. We had spoken on the phone several times after I was appointed last February. He was very helpful. I will miss his directness and dry (or wry) sense of humor. RRB

Pat and I extend our deepest sympathies to Gary's family. We recall initially meeting Gary as the new Delaware County Clerk and have always been impressed with his cheer, help and kindness to all those who came to Delhi. He will be missed

I had the pleasure of working with Gary on many Chamber of Commerce projects here in Walton years ago, and have always considered him a great guy. I have organized the Walton Christmas parade for the last several years, but I know it was Gary who started that tradition and I have tried to keep his same vision of just celebrating with the community without commercializing it. I just wanted to say that I was deeply saddened by the news of his passing and I will truly miss him. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, and pray for Gary to rest in peace. Sincerely, Patty Wood
