Alan Thomas Hadey, 71, of Walton passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Stratton VA Hospital, Albany, NY.

Alan was born December 12, 1951 in Queens, NY the son of the late Alexander and Edith (Rockwell) Hadey. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during and after service.

Alan worked at Capital Distributors in Queens as a Warehouseman. He was an avid Lionel Train collector, putting together model trains, and model cars, and he built two doll houses.

Alan enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slots and entering daily the Publishers Clearing House (and he still has not won). He was intrigued by aliens and the paranormal. Family meant everything to Al, he was selfless and worried about his family before himself and was always willing to lend a hand in any way he could. Anyone who knew Al can appreciate what we mean by his out-of-pocket sense of humor. He surely will be missed by his family and friends.

Alan is survived by his loving family, wife, Nanette Cazzolla, stepchildren, Joseph (Michelle) Cazzolla, Mike (Denielle) Cazzolla, grandchildren, Trevor, Logan, Gabriel, Mikayla Cazzolla, Aden Galick, dear niece, Marisa Romano, and his sister, Marilyn Hadey.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 2 to 4PM and 6to 8PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2PM at Paige Cemetery in Downsville with full military honors.

Memorial Contributions in Alan's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or any other Veterans associations of your choice.
