Obituary

Alexander "Alex" Miller 76, of Walton, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Countryside Care Center of Delhi, NY.

Alex was born September 28, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Stirling) Miller. On February 13, 1960 he married the former Barbara Lyzinski in Brooklyn, New York.

Alex attended Columbia University, Long Island University, and the University of Illinois. He was an avid supporter of Law Enforcement, Our Veteran's and Our Troops, and the U.S. Olympic Committe.

Alex was a self employed private investigator in Staten Island, New York. He was an Associate member of Fraternal Order of Police, a Founding member of National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund and a member of Chief of Police in Florida. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars and watching his favorite TV shows, Cops and America's Most Wanted.

Alex is survived by his loving wife: Barbara at home; his sister In Law, Caroline Hildreth, his neice, Helen Hildreth- Roszko (Michael Roszko) his grandnieces, Sarah, Chloe, and two grand nephews, Justin and Marcus.

A memorial service will be held on December 27, 2011 at 11 AM at the New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton.
