Alice A. Neice, 101, a lifelong resident of Walton passed away Thursday evening, October 13, 2011 at Countryside Care Center, Delhi.

Alice was born on September 29, 1910 in Delhi, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Ameilia (Evans) Cranston. On November 29, 1930 she married Earl Neice in Walton. He predeceased her in 1970.

Alice was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Walton. She enjoyed baking, camping, fishing, crocheting, and spending lots of time with her family.

Alice is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Sharon (Larry) Underwood of Walton; her grandchildren, Chris (Kathy) Neice of Walton; Clark (Dixie) Neice of Hamden; Larry (Deb) Underwood of Walton; Neil (Joelle) Underwood of Walton; Janelle (Pete) Montgomery of Oneonta; Mike Neice of Walton; Robyn (Mike) Willett of Ankorage, AK; James (Linda) Neice of Norfolk, VA; Jeff (Amy) Neice of Ft. Meyers,FL; Julie (Ed) Darling of Bedford Hills, NY; Jennifer (Joe) Carlton of Arcadia, FL; Rolly (Terri) Fletcher of Walton, Vicki (Ron) Hornbeck of Trout Creek; Brenda (Jim) Ellis of Delhi; Bill (Terri) Hoyt of Walton; her son in law, William Hoyt, her daughters in law, Faye, LuAnn, and Barbara Neice, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by sons, Roy Neice in 2005, Howard Neice in 1996, and James in 2007, her daughter, Deany Hoyt in 2006, her brothers, Frank, Charles, John, and William Cranston, and her sister, Helen Cranston.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11 AM at the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton, with the Rev. Joe Bokel, officiating.
