IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice K.
Taylor
March 19, 1936 – February 23, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Kathryn Taylor, who left us on February 23, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on March 19, 1936, in Oneonta NY to her parents Harry J. Constable and Flora Boyce. Alice married Ralph W. Taylor of Walton on December 13, 1953, in Walton, NY.
Alice was a lifelong resident of Walton where she dedicated her life to the farming community as well as a secretary at Walton Central School District. Ralph and Alice were proud owners of Taylor's Jersey Farm on Gosper Road where they also raised their three children and were committed to agriculture and the land. She was a dedicated 4-H leader, and a member of the United Methodist Church as well as a past Grange member and Delaware County Jersey Cattle Club member. Alice loved cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Alice could always be found at the Delaware County Fair at the dairy show ring program in hand and keeping track of the classes. In her spare time there was always a book or two she was reading. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds all year round. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her beloved children. A daughter, Nancy (Richard) Burgey of Rochester, New York; their children Cindy Burgey and Linda Burgey. A daughter, Janet (Edward) Budine of Walton, New York; their children Jaclyn Budine and Jason Budine. A son, William (Beth Roberts) Taylor of Oldwick, New Jersey; his children Shirley (Josh) Spencer and Alexis (Kevin) McDermott. Along with their mother Gretchen Taylor. Including twelve great grandchildren, and close family friends: families of Karson James and Nancy Pierce. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Alice was a source of strength and inspiration, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph W. Taylor, her brother Skip Constable and sister-in-law Jean Constable, and as well as her parents.
