Alva A. Robinson, 93, a longtime resident of Walton, passed away on September 17, 2014 at her home, following a short illness.

Alva was born in Queens borough and was married to George Robinson until his death in 1994.

Alva and George owned Alva Originals, specializing in antiques in Walton from 1971 to 1990. A remarkable lady, Alva will best be remembered bicycling all over Walton, running errands or just visiting her friends into her early 90's.

Alva is survived by her daughter, Dawn Bates and her granddaughter, Vanessa Bates, both of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles and her sisters, Louise, Julie and Ruth.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October, 1, 2014 at the Plymouth Community Church, 6033 County Highway 21, Walton at 12:00PM with the Pastor Tom Davis, officiating. Burial will follow in the Plymouth Community Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
