IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Amanda M.
Bright
March 24, 1986 – April 2, 2020
On Thursday April 2nd, 2020 Amanda Bright loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and beautiful friend passed away at her childhood home in Walton, New York.
Amanda was born on March 24th, 1986 in Albany, NY. She was highly spirited little girl who grew up to be a profound philanthropist. She loved everything about cheerleading when in high school to where her senior class voted her most spirited. In college she was co-philanthropist chair for her sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma. Amanda had passion for soccer and was co-captain of her senior year for she gave motivation to all the girls she played with; so much that Amanda would drive half her team to practice every day. Amanda always had a caring heart and helping hand.
Amanda had a passion for fashion, and was a true 80's girl. Since she was a little girl she tapped her toes in her black boots (for she had to have them) while listening to Madonna, Cindi Lauper, and Whitney Houston, who she inherited from her mother. Amanda was always thoughtful and a caring support to her three younger siblings, as well as a bit bossy. As the oldest, she insured that we were protected and gave us words of encouragement to get through difficult times, and will be truly missed by them.
Amanda will be in heaven with her boyfriend, Sean Maher, whom she loves very much.
Amanda is preceded by her great-grandparents Donald and Marion Gavett; grandparents Marge & Winfield Lacey; Grandmother Joan Bright; Great Aunt Kay Frazee and Uncle Ronald Lacey. Amanda's spirit will continue to live on by her parents, William & Janet Lacey; two brothers, Brett Bright (Erin) and Patrick Lacey; sister Lauren Ewain (Gabe); grandfather Donald Bright and many loving aunts, caring uncles, and compassionate cousins. She also leaves behind many friends and acquaintances who she made smile with laughter.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for contribution to any charity of choice in honor of Amanda.
The funeral service will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Courtney Funeral Home, Walton. To leave a message of hope and comfort for Amanda's family, please visit www.courtneyfh.com
