Angelo Ferraro, 71, of Downsville, passed away early Sunday morning, June 25, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Angelo was born on May 20, 1946 in Naples, Italy, the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Rego) Ferraro. He married the former Ruth Szirandi on February 21, 1971. He was employed by Hayward Industries of Elizabeth, NJ as a head machinist for 40 years.

Upon retirement, Angelo lived first in East Branch and then moved to Downsville in 2008. Angelo was a great father and family man who enjoyed bowling, playing cards and watching his children and grandchildren grow up.

He is survived by his wife: Ruth, one daughter: Jennifer (Alex) Pagan of Walton, NY and two sons: Anthony Ferraro of Downsville, NY and Daniel (Shawna) Ferraro of Anaheim, CA; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rose Ferraro, Dakota James Ferraro, Gianna Nicole Ashley Pagan, sisters, Josephine Realmuto of Downsville, NY and Anna (Sal) Rubino of Washingtonville, NY; sister and brother in laws, Elisabeth, Ellen, John and Chris; nieces and nephews, Maria, Frank, Louis, Beverly, Ken and Mario; and several cousins. The family would like to thank Patti Belknap, Nurse's Aide for the wonderful care and compassion.

A private graveside will be held at the convenience of the family, in Paige Cemetery. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
