Angelo Scott Lister, 33, of Walton passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2010 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton.
Angelo was born on November 18, 1976 in Islip, NY, He was adopted at the age of five by Anthony and Alice Lister. He lived in Wellsville and eventually came to Walton with the Lister Family. At the age of 15, Angelo moved to live with Robert and Lorraine Miller.
He graduated from the BOCES Program at the Walton High School. After graduation, Angelo volunteered at the Hamden Resource Center and the Community Living Skills of ARC. He also worked in the office of the Delaware Regional Center. Angelo was proud to be the Chairman of the Delaware Co. Advocacy Group for the disabled.
Angelo was a young man with a huge heart and a smile for all he met. He enjoyed having coffee at TA's with his many friends, eating pizza at Grandma D's and when his health permitted, walks to town. He was a special "Little Man" who spread joy wherever he went. Angelo possessed a witty sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh and exchanging funny stories. He possessed a special talent for setting clocks, watches, VCR's, computers and cell phones. He also enjoyed participating in the ARC bowling program, listening to music and watching his favorite sports teams, the NY Yankee's and the Buffalo Bills, were among his favorite pastimes.
He is survived by his adoptive parents, Alice and Bill Korwan & Anthony and Susan Lister as well as his guardians, Robert and Lorraine Miller; Siblings, Anthony Lister Jr., Julia (Timothy) Baumgarte, James (Meghan) Lister, Brewer (Regan) Lister, Timothy (Ann) Korwan, Thomas Lister, Barbara Lister, Jane Lister, Danielle Lister, Elizabeth Korwan, Alison (Gray)Berryman and Emily Korwan. He will also be missed by his 14 nieces and nephews.
Angelo leaves sad hearts in those who were in his circle of extended family and many friends especially those in his ARC and DRC family.
A funeral service will be held on at Noon on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where friends may call from 10 AM until 12 PM, Noon, prior to the service.
