April L. Lawson, 68, of Hamden passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Hamden.

April was born December 18, 1942 in Walton, the daughter of the late Walter and Sylvia (Puffer) Lawson.

April was a self employed Home Health Care Aide in Hamden. She loved all kinds of animals.

She is survived by three sons: William Lawson of Hamden, NY, Neil (Lacita) Lawson of SC, Josh Lawson of CO; her sisters: Betty (Chuck) Ashley of GA, Sylvia (Don) Gibson of Hamden, Linda (Tom) Glass of Bloomville, Dorothy "Dot" Fornier of Unadilla, Nancy (Ed) Walley of Delhi, her 4 grandchildren: Treg, Jordon, Zachary, Zeron, her brothers: Walter (Linda) Lawson of Delhi, Clayton (Tammy) Lawson of Otego, James (Ann) Lawson of East Brook; her uncles, Richard (Jenny) Puffer of TN; Steve (Joan) Puffer of FL; her aunts, Stella (Dave) Sprague of Treadwell, Lydia (Sonny) Serra of SC; Delores Sanford of Roxbury,

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 4PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, with Rev. Jennifer Kimball, officiating.
