Arlene S. Henry, 82, of Delhi passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, August 28, 2013 at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown. Arlene was born on February 11, 1931 in McDonough, NY, the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Niles) Smith. She married Maurice Henry on February 12, 2004 in Phillipsburg, PA.

Arlene was past president of the Delaware County American Cancer Society, she was also a Co-Chair for the Art Committee at the Delaware County Fair. Arlene was a volunteer for the local American Heart Association chapter.

She enjoyed painting on country tin and "theorems" on velvet. She always enjoyed word game's and her kindle. She also enjoyed her "Boyd Bears" collection. Arlene loved her family and was very proud of her home.

Arlene is survived by her loving family, her husband, Maurice; her daughter; Suzanne and Scott MacDonald of Delhi, her grandson; Cameron Mason, brother; James and Jan Smith, Alabama; sisters, Patty and Ernie Parizzi of Virginia, and Shirley Horrell, of Sidney; brother-in-law; Glenn Swart, of Afton and several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dog, Pixie.

She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Lurenz; her sister, Joyce Swart, a brother; Fred Smith and her loving Cairn Terrier, Benji.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday afternoon, September 1, 2013 from 1 to 2:30 PM at the Courtney Funeral home, 25 Townsend St, Walton where services will be held at 2:30 PM with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton cemetery.
