Arthur V. Rickard, 93, of Lake Wales, Florida died peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2017 after a brief hospitalization.

He was born April 4, 1924 the youngest son of Amasa and Katherine (Dick) Rickard in Walton, NY.

Art and his first wife Marie (Baker) had three lovely daughters; Peggy with whom he lived recently, Christine and Patty. He was a farmer and lived with his family on Upper Loomis Brook Road for many years.

Art and his second wife, Virginia (Hoover) were successful realtors with Strout Realty. They built a new home on Teeds Road, Walton.

Art was predeceased by his wives, his parents, his sisters, Cathleen Rickard, Carolyn Gustin, Ruth Capaccio and his brothers, Donald Rickard, who died as a child and Arlyn Rickard.

He is survived by his three daughters and their families. Peggy Sara, Lake Wales, FL, Christine (Steven) Amig, Mulberry, Florida and Patty (James) Jarrett, Lakeland, Florida. There are seven grandchildren; Kevin Amig, Melissa Amig, Lindsay Amig, Cody Jarrett and Jenna Jarrett, Jaime Sara and Bethany Sara. As well as five great grandchildren. Ciara, Tessla, Zayda, Mylee, and Cole.

Several nieces and nephews, who thought he was a special uncle, also survive.

Services will be private.
