Arthur M. "Barney" Wood 78, a lifelong area resident passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, December 14, 2007, at Delaware Valley Hospital.

Barney was born in the town of Walton on September 24, 1929 the son of the late Clarence and Wanda M. Tuttle Wood. He worked for many years at the Walton Foundry. Barney loved to go hunting, fishing, and shopping in his spare time.

Barney is survived by his sister, Daisy M. Wood, Walton; a brother, James R. Wood, Utica; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend, Diane Smith, Walton.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 12 to 1 PM where services will be held at 1 PM, with the Rev. Carl Butler, officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery in the spring.
