Arvella T. Goodrich, 80, of Walton, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home after a brief illness.

Born January 9, 1939 in Walton, she was the daughter of the late Horton and Florence Tiffany Tweedie.

Arvella worked for many years at Chris's Flowers in Walton. When she wasn't in the Green House at Chris's, she would be tending to her garden of beautiful flowers at her home. Arvella was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed following her favorite drivers that included Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Arvella would always look forward to her outing with various Senior Citizens groups and close friends. She was a member of New Hope Community Church in Walton.

Survivors include her children Sue Sakell of Wurtsboro, NY, Terri Fancher (John) of Walton, Brian Goodrich (Cathy) of West Fulton, NY and Tim Goodrich (Sherry) of Texas; Sister Thelma Brown of Walton and close friend and neighbor Mel Woodin. Arvella is also survived by several grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years Harland B. Goodrich who passed away on February 19, 2014; Brother Carrol Tweedie and Sisters Marjorie Church, Loretta Davis and Phylliss Neale.

A graveside service to celebrate Arvella's life will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 1 P.M. at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton, NY 13856 with Pastor Larry Light officiating.

Memorial donations in Arvella's memory may be made to the Walton Fire Department, Emergency Squad, 61 West Street, Walton, NY 13856.
