Avis D. Decker, 71, of Walton, passed away Friday morning, June 28, 2013 at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown, following a long illness.

Avis was born on January 28, 1942 in Chinook, Montana, the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Doney) Fleury. She was employed for many years as a healthcare aide first in Montana and later at Robynwood in Oneonta. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Avis is survived by her loving family, her children, Darryl and Allison Smith of Walton, Ronnie and Sherry Smith of Havre, Montana; and Rod and Laura Smith of Walton, grandchildren, Craig, Darryl (DJ), Kacey, Tonya, Vanessa, Matt and Hope; 10 great-grandchildren, sisters, Barb Laney of Millerton and Mary Lou and Bob Noss of Harrisburg, PA several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 husbands, Ralph Smith and Jerry Decker.

Services wil be held privately at the convenience of the family.
