Dr. Barbara L. Osborn, 78, a long-time resident of Storrs, CT, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Countryside Care Center, Delhi, NY following a short illness.

Born on October 18, 1928 in Chenango Forks, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Laura (Granger) Osborn. She never married. Barbara was a Professor of Home Economics at the University of Connecticut at Storrs. She was the president of the Auxiliary of Windham Hospital, Willimantic, CT and also served on its Board of Directors. She was a member of the Storrs Congregational Church and a fond lover of cats.

Barbara is survived by a niece, Susan (Hazzie) Quick of Walton, NY; nephew, Harold (Shirley) Cliff of Orlando, FL; nephew, Richard (Abbie) Cliff of Dexter, NM; great niece, Rebecca (Michael) Halstead of Walton, NY; great nephew, Travis Cliff; brother-in-law, George Cliff. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth J. Cliff.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Beechwood Cemetery, Kendall, NY.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Storrs Congregational Church, Storrs, CT with Rev. Hillary Dahlberg officiating. There are no prior calling hours.
