Obituary

Barney A. Bush, Sr., 79 of Walton, passed away at home Thursday, March 8, 2007 after a long illness. Barney was born in the Town Colchester, on April 30, 1927, the son of the late Caleb & Sarah Jacobson Bush. He proudly served his country during World War II in the US Army. He first married the former Anna Hafele on March 10, 1951. She died on April 30, 1989. He later married Jeanne Havens on August 20, 1992, who survives. He was employed as a truck driver for the Town of Hamden for many years. He was also a quarryman and a lumberjack. He loved collecting model trucks and trains.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, 1 daughter: Barbara Jean & John Ackerly , 2 sons: Barney & Vicki Bush Jr. both of Andes, Robert Bush of Texas, 9 grandchildren, Bruce and Betty Jean Ackerly, David and Brian Bush, Connie Cardoza, Robert Bush Jr. Shawn Bush, Amber Bush, Ellen Bush, a brother, Caleb (Rose) Bush, Delhi; Lloyd Bush, Sidney; Paul Bush, Walton; 3 sisters, Dorothy Silverman, Bethel; Beatrice Bodiot, Walton; Catherine (Raymond) Finkle, Roscoe; stepchildren, John & Laura Bush, Walton; Mark & Debbie Bush, Delancy; Donna Bush, Binghamton; Linda & Jacob Alvarez, Vicky Bush, both of Walton; step grand children, Leann & Nikki Bush, Heather McAdams, Sarah Barrett, Tiffany Bush, Gary & Cody Scofield, Misty Phoenix, Chris Alvarez, Sandra Alvarez, Jake Alvarez, Tausha Bush, Theodore Bush, Samantha Cutler, and several great grand children, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a grandson, Richard Bush, 2 brothers, Richard & Floyd, and 1 sister, Mary.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday evening , March 10, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend St. Walton, where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 PM with the Rev. William Robertson, officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery in the spring.
