Obituary

Bernard E. Foley Sr., 66 of Walton, went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, Tuesday afternoon June 22, 2004, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Bernie was born in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late Samuel J. and Charlotte Rozicki Foley. He was united in marriage to the former Janice A. Fiedler February 20, 1988 in Warwick, NY. He served his country in the Army from 1955 to 1959. .

He was a self-employed Landscape/Home Improvement contractor, retiring due to health. He was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Bernie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and servant of the Lord.

He is survived by his wife: Janice A. Foley, seven daughters: Angela DeRogatis, Samantha Fiduccia, Tamara Monaco, Helen Murphy, Nicole Hodorovych, Jenna Skinner, Brie Janice Foley, five sons: Bernard Jr., Gerald, Patrick, John Christopher, and Joshua Foley; one sister: Diane Holman, two brothers: Samuel Foley, Gerald Foley, 26 grandchildren; his former wife, Catherine Canessa Foley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Joan Foley Jacoby; and Rose Foley Evans.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday June 24, 2004 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend St. Walton, where services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Peggy Fabrizio, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Walton, officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Bernie's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 542 Main St., Oneonta, NY 13820. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
