Beth E. Jefferson, 44 of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Beth was born in Rockaway Beach, Queens, the daughter of John and Patricia Murray Jefferson on April 26, 1962. She was a manager, employed by a grocery store in Queens. Beth was a very talented and gifted lady who enjoyed writing poetry and painting. She won numerous artist and poetry society awards.She was a strong supporter of the D.A.V., and Father Flannigan's Boys Town. She was of the Baptist faith.

Beth is survived by her son, Dean Martin, Hamden, 2 daughters, Patricia Davila, and Christine Davila both of Walton, 2 grand children, Kora Young and Eligah Justin Jones, her mother Patricia Jefferson, Hamden; her fiancee' Thomas O'Conner, Angelo Peppe, who was like a father to her; 2 brothers, Kevin McNulty, Bloomville, Joseph and Wendy Jefferson, Walton; aunts, Philomena Culligan, NJ; Barbara Normandeau, Virginia; Mary Ellen Mazzeo, LI; Florence Farrington, Indiana, Hilda Lindley, Michigan, Frances Solak, Michigan; Henry and Joseph Jefferson, both of Illinois; Uncle, Joseph and Virginia Jefferson, neices and nephews, Jessica Bolster, Jennifer Jefferson, and Joseph Jefferson Jr. She was predeceased by her father, John Jefferson in 1979.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton on Thursday, December 21, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM and Friday from 10 AM to 12 noon, where services will be held at noon with the Rev. Carl Butler, officiating.

Burial will be in Hamden Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Beth's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
