Obituary

Betty O. Robinson, 79, a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away early Sunday morning , September 16, 2012 at Countryside Care Center with her family by her side, following a long illness.

Betty was born on December 28, 1932 in North Franklin, the daughter of the late Grover and Effie (Allen) Oles. She proudly was the thirteenth of fourteen children.

Betty was employed for many years at the National Bank of Delaware County where she took care of new accounts. In her spare time she enjoyed walking, square dancing, gardening, playing cards and games, bowling, and traveling.

Betty is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Joanne and Richard Engelhardt of Walton; and Shelli and Odus Baker of Lexington, Kentucky; her sisters, Elizabeth Van Horn of Oneonta, and Gladys Farmer of Florida; her brother, Ted Wrench of Coventry; her "Adopted Granddaughters", Joanie, Julie, Jennifer, her special friend, Sandy Barse; her grandpups, Buckeye, Clem and Slider, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was predeceased by her dear friend, companion and dance partner, Howard Telford and 9 brothers and sisters.

In celebration of Betty's life, a Dessert Reception will be held at the fellowship hall of the Congregational Church, 4 Mead Street, Walton, on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5 to 8PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.
