Brian K. Allen, 45, of Trout Creek passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at home.

Brian was born on July 18, 1970 in Walton, the son of Richard and Mareah (Shackelton) Allen. He married the former Jodi Ann Biedekapp. She predeceased him on November 6, 2013.

Brian was an accomplished builder who owned and operated Brian Allen Construction. He was a member of the Sidney Center Rod and Gun Club, Campbell Brook Hunting Club, National Swine Association, and NRA.

Brian loved hanging with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes, and dancing and raising pigs.

Brian is survived by his loving family, his son Dakota Allen of Trout Creek; a daughter, Samantha (Jeff) Rappold of Walton; granddaughter, Addilyn Rappold, his mother, Mareah Allen of Walton; brothers, Ted (Pam) Gladstone of Walton; Michael (Del) Allen of Trout Creek; sister, Denise (Brett) Gagnier of Waterbury, CT; nephews, Philip and Brandon, friend, Sheila Grossman and her children, Quinn and Lucas, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Allen.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 101 North Street, Walton with the Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
