Brian H. Lacey, 62, of Walton passed away Friday morning, October 7, 2022 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, following a long illness.

Brian was born on January 19, 1960 in Mineola, Long Island the son of Hugh E. and Roberta (Simms) Lacey.

Brian was a hard-working man who worked in Oklahoma for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and then in New York. He also worked in Delhi at the Creamery.

Brian was a friendly man who loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed having cookouts in his yard with his family and friends. He also was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed watching football.

Brian's main hobby was renovating his 1951 Chevy Bel Aire Deluxe, he put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in but when it was finished it looked like it was new. He enjoyed taking his classic car on rides around town.

Brian is survived by his loving family; his mother, Roberta (Simms) Lacey, wife, Tami Lacey, son, Brandon Lacey of IL; grandson, Jamieson, brothers; John (Diane) Lacey of Barton, NY; David Lacey of Oneonta, NY; Kevin Lacey of Walton, NY and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Hugh E. Lacey in 1973.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Avenue, Walton where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM with Rev. Edward J. Golding, celebrant. Burial will follow in Paige Cemetery in Downsville. Arrangements are under the direction of the Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
