Obituary

Bruce Douglas Hoyt, 96, of Oneonta, formerly of Walton passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 10 1922 in Walton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith Miller Hoyt.

Bruce was a talented wood worker and was as a cabinet maker for S J Bailey & Sons in Walton for over 41 years. When Bruce wasn't working at S J Bailey and Son's he would be working on his dairy farm in Walton or working at a local stone quarry. Bruce was a proud member of the Pleasant Valley Boys where he called square dancing for over 60 years. He was a gardener and was a big sports fan, especially when it came to his grandchildren's sporting events and the New York Yankees. He was a long time member of the West Delhi United Presbyterian Church. Most of all, Bruce adored spending qualify time with his friends and family. His strong work ethic and warm smile will be missed by all who had the chance to know him.
