Bruce K. Sullivan, 72 of Walton, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, following a short illness.

Bruce was born on August 31, 1936 in Cornwall, NY; the son of the late William K. and Drucilla (Cosgrove) Sullivan. Bruce married the former Karen Hessinger on Aug. 2, 1975 at Campbell Hall, NY. He was a Machine Operator & Welder, employed by International Operating Engineers, Local 825, of Middletown.

Bruce was an avid gun and traditional archery enthusiast. He enjoyed archery competition, target practice and puttering in his yard.

Bruce is survived by his loving family; his wife: Karen, four daughters: Nancy (Jeff) Leaman, Deltona; DruAnne (Paul) Bronk of Guilford, NY, Lisa Curtin of Walton, NY, Theresa Sparling of Virginia; two sons, Terry Sullivan, Middletown; Vance Curtin of Walton, Uncle Albert and Aunt Ann Lee, and several cousins. He was predeceased by a son, William K. Sullivan.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, with the Rev. Donald Crossman, officiating. There are no calling hours.
