Carlee Turner, 86, of East Branch passed away on Thursday evening, September 15, 2016 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta, following a short illness.

Carlee was born on May 7, 1930 in Orange, NC the son of the late James and Sadie (Trice) Turner.

Carlee retired from the Hamden Workshop. He was a member of Maple Leaf in Corbett. He enjoyed going to church at the East Branch Methodist Church. He had a love for music and enjoyed WDLA country music and Lawrence Welk. He had an uncanny memory for birthdates and dates in general. Ask him what day Christmas was on and he could tell you quickly. He enjoyed yard work, stacking wood and traditional homemade foods. He loved life and spending time with friends. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida, the Outer Banks, and Myrtle Beach. He also had a hat for every occasion

Carlee is survived by his caregivers, Vicky and Jack Norwood, Alana Henderson and Heidi Possemato all of East Branch and all the friends he made along the way.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 11 AM to 12 Noon at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 12 Noon with the Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating. Burial will follow in the East Branch Cemetery.
