Obituary

Carrie E. Bartlett, 105, of Walton passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home in Roscoe.

Carrie was born in Hale Eddy on January 7, 1910 the daughter of the late George and Barbara (Heise) Hauber. On May 1, 1936 she married Neil William Bartlett, at the Methodist Parsonage in Walton. He predeceased her in September of 1960.

Carrie lived in Walton most of her 105 years; before that she lived on the family farm in Cannonsville.

Carrie was a Cook at the Walton Central School in Walton for 14 years before retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Walton First United Methodist Church.

Carrie will be remembered for her love of family, the Yankees, and her homemade pies. She saw the best in every situation and was a tremendous influence on all that knew her, she loved her LORD and lived her life humbly and sweetly.

Carrie is survived by her loving family, her children, Elaine (Richard) Budine of Troy, NY; Neil (Deborah) Bartlett of Walton, NY; Duane (Cathy) Bartlett of Walton, NY; and Calvin Bartlett of Walton, NY; her grandchildren, Lisa (Frank) Niemiec , Jennifer (Dan) Magulick , Neil (Hazel) Bartlett, Nicolle (Mark) Langowski, Shawn (Mary) Bartlett , her great grandchildren, Stephanie Madsen, Hunter and Chase Magulick, Morgan, Mark, Mollie, Natalie Langowski, Zoe and Zaina Bartlett, step greatdaughters, Jessica, Melissa and Heather, step great great granddaughter, Alyssa. Her sister and brother in law, Helen and Alva Bruce, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Edward, Otto, Alfred, Frieda, William, Louis, George, Leonard, Beatrice and Edna.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are with the Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
