Charles F. "Charlie" Gregory, 63, of Walton passed away on Monday morning, June 25, 2018 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton.

Charles was born December 6, 1954 in Walton, NY the son of the late Wilbur C. and Doris (Leudloff) Gregory. On April 25, 1992 he married the former Sandra M. Cole at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, MT.

Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 28 years on active duty. He was a life member of the Air Force Association, Association of Air Force Missileers, and the Military Officers of America Association.

Charles was very involved in his community currently serving as Walton Town Supervisor; as a committed volunteer with the Walton Fire Department, the Walton Theatre Preservation Association, and for the committees selecting various scholarship recipients; and a past Walton Village Trustee. He enjoyed hiking, camping, canoeing, and spending time with his family.

Charles is survived by his loving family, wife, Sandy Gregory; daughter, Michelle (Major Josh) Leone; grandchildren, Addison, Morgan, Hannah, Sarah, and Gideon; sisters, Charlene Gregory of Walton and Elinor (Dan) Tempel of North Pole, AK; brother in law, Ray Daly of Bronxville; uncle, Lester Gregory of Sidney; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Judy Daly, Natalie Gregory, and Janet Gregory.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Walton First Baptist Church, 55 Townsend Street where services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10 AM. Burial will follow with full military honors in the Walton Cemetery. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton
