Charles H. Wilberg, 85, of Walton passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Basset Hospital in Cooperstown following a long illness.

Born May 29, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Charles and Rosalie Wilberg.

Charles received several degrees from Fordham University in Administration and Education. He brought NATEF certification to the Automotive Program at Automotive High School, and received an "Outstanding Automotive Educator" reward. He started working at Kinney Motors in Brooklyn as a mechanic and went on to own and operate Charo's Amoco Station in Brooklyn for over 20 years. Charles was also an Assistant Principal for over 25 years at Automotive High School in Brooklyn, retiring in 2004 with over 25 years of service. When Charles was not hard at work serving his community, he had a passion for restoring classic cars, especially Chevrolets and was a member of the Chevy Truck Legends Club.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years Rosemarie Wilberg; children Linda Wilberg and Leeann Argudo (Jorge); Brother Edward Wilberg (Terry); grandchildren Nicolette Wilberg, Elena Rose Argudo, Gabrielle Argudo; brother-in-law Robert Marra and longtime friends Howard Tames and Timothy Grady. Besides his parents, Charles is predeceased by his daughter Teresa Lynn Wilberg who passed away in 1999 and sister-in-law Lorraine Marra.

Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 2-4 P.M. at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. Social distancing guidelines must be met, and face masks are required. A graveside service to celebrate Charles's life will be held on Wednesday, March 3 at 1 P.M. at Rosehill Cemetery, 792 E. Edgar Road, Linden, NJ 07036.
