Charlotte Arlene Martin, 83, of Walton passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Wendy, following a long illness. Charlotte was born on April 23, 1927 in Corbett the daughter of the late Styles and Verna (Davis) Fairchild. She married Gerald Martin. He died on October 12, 1958. Charlotte worked for many years at Scintilla, Sidney and then after retirement she provided home health care. Charlotte enjoyed crocheting, gardening and shopping. She also was a Girl Scout leader many years ago.

She is survived by one daughter: Wendy Martin of Walton one granddaughter, Alexandra Rodriguez of Texas, two brothers, Charles and Jack Fairchild, special nieces, Diane Potter and Teresa Wacha and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predecased by brothers Stanley and Douglas Fairchild and sisters, Ellen Wood and Jean Seaman.

Services will be held at Walton Cemetery on Monday April 4, 2011 at 1 PM. Memorial contributions in Charlotte's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
