Chyanne D. Allen, 34, of Downsville, died tragically, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Albany Medical Center of Albany, as a result of a MVA in the town of Franklin.

Chyanne was born on July 10, 1983 in Walton, the daughter of Robert Allen and Terry (Mills) Allen. She was a graduate of Downsville Central School and SUCO, majoring in graphic arts and design. She was employed by Fox Care, Oneonta as a Medical Transcriptionist. She was a member of the Honor Society, while in High School, American Legion Auxiliary, and St. Mary's Episcopal Church, all in Downsville.

Chyanne was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare genetic disorder referred to as brittle bone disorder. This dibilitating disorder did not hold her back. She was a bright and iquisitive young lady, who loved life, her family and many friends. She enjoyed school dances, nail and make-up gatherings, and was the recipient of the 2011 Polar Bear Club Award.

Chyanne is survived by her loving family, her father Robert Allen; her mother Terry Allen, sister, Brandy & Randy O'Dell all of Downsville; one brother, Shawn Hand of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces and nephews, Cierra and Tyler Hand and Seth and Lacey O'Dell; aunts and uncles, Donald Mills, Gene and Judy Mills, Sandy Elmore, Roxanne Bartollio, Jim and Goldie Mills, Mickey and Pat McClenon, Tracey Wilson and Mary Roughgarden, and several cousins and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Colchester Community Church, 15151 State Highway 30, Downsville, where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. R.L. Donahue and Rev. Michael Shank, officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
