IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cindy L.
Calabrese (Anthony)
January 28, 1957 – July 25, 2025
With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Cindy Calabrese (Anthony), who gained her wings on July 25, 2025, at Wilson Hospital in Binghamton, New York. She was surrounded by family after a long battle with medical issues. Cindy was 68 years old.
Cindy was born on January 28, 1957, in Niagara Falls, New York to Edward and Carol Arquette. From her earliest days, she carried with her a quiet grace and deep compassion that touched everyone lucky enough to know her.
Cindy lived a life rooted in kindness, gentleness, and generosity. She was the kind of person who remembered the little things, who made people feel at ease with her warm smile and open heart. Whether it was a thoughtful conversation over coffee or lending a hand when someone needed it most, Cindy had a natural gift for making others feel loved and cared for.
She had a deep love for animals and nature - often finding peace in her garden, joy in watching birds at the feeder, or wonder in the simple beauty of a seashell found along the shore. Road trips, especially those that led to the ocean, were among her favorite adventures. She loved collecting shells, breathing in the salty air, and letting the rhythm of the waves bring her peace.
Cindy found true happiness in the everyday: sharing stories around the dinner table, laughing with family, and creating a home filled with love. Alongside her beloved partner, Jeffrey Anthony and best furry friend Bo, she poured her heart into caring for others - not only her children, Ashlee Pankiewicz (Benjamin), Terry Lee Calabrese, and Jaclyn Calabrese - but many more children she nurtured and supported throughout her life with unwavering love and patience.
She cherished her grandchildren deeply: Jewel Mika (Andrew), Angel Roach, Patience Pankiewicz, and Thea Pankiewicz. Each of them held a special place in her heart and brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Her sister, Joan Springman (George), along with many cherished nieces and nephews remain to carry forward the memories they made together.
Cindy was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Lois Chapman and Sue Banks, brother Richard Arquette, and her granddaughter Destyni Twyman.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held on August 2nd at 2:00 pm at the Walton Firehall. In keeping with Cindy's wishes, this gathering will be centered on nature and peace - a reflection of the way she lived. If you plan to bring flowers or gifts, the family asks that you consider wildflowers or plants, or make a donation to your local animal shelter.
Cindy's love and spirit will forever live on in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and endlessly remembered.
