Clarence Jerome Rhatigan, 85, of Walton passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at home, following a short illness.

Clarence was born, the youngest of nine, on June 27, 1932 in Queens, the son of the late Joseph and Margaret McGrath Rhatigan. On November 26, 1955 he married the former Elizabeth Hopp in Bayville, Long Island. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

Clarence was self-employed working at Alan Advertising in Mt. Vernon, NY. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, skiing and fishing, photography. Clarence was a Hot Air Balloon enthusiast.

Clarence is survived by his loving family, his wife, Elizabeth, sons, Kevin (Suzanne) Rhatigan of Raleigh, NC, Brian Rhatigan of Walton, NY; grandchildren, Nicole and Christopher.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral home, Walton.
