Cody A. Endress, 18 of Walton, NY, passed away Thursday morning, July 2, 2009, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Cody was born in Oneonta on October 11, 1990 the son of Paul and Nancy (Shook) Endress. He was a graduate of Walton Central School just last Saturday. Cody was a natural athlete who played 3 sports for Walton Central School. He was a 3 year varsity player for Walton Football (# 43) where he was a member of the 2007 New York State Class D Champions. He was named captain in 2008, and participated in the Section 4 Ernie Davis Classic, and recognized as a Class D Allstar. He was also a 2 year varsity baseball player where he was also named captain and MAC League All Star.

Cody is survived by his loving family, his parents, Paul and Nancy, brothers, Daniel Endress of DeLancey, Ryan (Morgan) Endress, and nephew, Camden of Walton, grandmother, Peggy Shafer, aunts and uncles, Tim Endress, Catskill, Jeff Endress, Wappingers Falls, Vickie Hughes, Poughkeepsie; Linda Foote, Poughkeepsie; Dianne Seebruch, Stamfordville; Terri Shook, Poughkeepsie; Carla Shook, Hudson; Cheryl and Steve Boyd, Walton, special cousins, Nate, Erin and Evan, several other cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Paul and Barbara Endress and Ray Shook.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 6, 2009 in the O'Neill High School Auditorium, Stockton Ave. Walton.
