Concetta T. "Connie" McClenon, 58, of Walton passed away on Tuesday morning, June 4, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family.
Connie was born in Brooklyn, on August 14, 1954 the daughter of the late Theodore and Natalie (Mineo) Cardillo. On August 21, 1971 she married Donald McClenon at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Walton. Connie was a real estate broker working from home. She was a member of the MLS.
Connie was an artist and enjoyed woodworking, carving in wood, landscaping and building stone walls. Her home and her yard was her canvas, creating a beautiful landscape for herself, her family and friends to enjoy . Her greatest joy and accomplishment was her family, as she was known and loved as a full time mother. Connie had an infectious smile that lit up a room or anywhere she was.
Connie is survived by her loving family, her husband, Don, her children, Edward (Edgy) McClenon of Fort Dix, NJ; Andrew (Malissa) McClenon of Albany; Casey (Stacey) McClenon of Niskayuna; Kami (Nate) Munn of Homer; Ashley McClenon and Larry Brown of Walton; her grandchildren, Joseph, Jade, Julio, Emmalynn, Tyler, Matthew, Sarah, Samuel, Joshua, her brother, Chuck and Mary Cardillo of Hamden; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church 17-25 Benton Avenue, Walton with the Rev. Bernard Osei Ampong, celebrant. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery, Walton.
Memorial Contributions in Connie's name may be made to Hope Lodge, 197 Summer Street, Buffalo, New York 14222, where Connie's family stayed during her treatment.
