Daisy M. Smith, 80, of Delhi, NY, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2007 at O´Connor Hospital, Delhi, NY.

Mrs. Smith was born in Hamburg, NJ, the daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Weed Decker.

She was married to Charles Foster Smith who predeceased her on Nov. 10, 1960. Daisy moved to this area from New Jersey in 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hackensack, NJ.

Daisy M. Smith is survived by one daughter: Dorothy Smith of Delhi, NY, one son: Charles Smith of CO, one sister: Edythe Heitsmith of Hertford, NC, one brother: Charles Decker of NJ, a niece, Lydia Craig of Walton, NY and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Augustine and a brother, Floyd Decker.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Colchester Community Church, Downsville, with Pastor Dale Ashby officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Daisy M. Smith may be made to The Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, State Rt. 10, Delhi NY.
