Daniel A. Baudo, 68 of Walton, passed away Wednesday evening, October 22, 2008 in the O'Connor Hospital, Delhi, after a short illness.

Daniel was born in Queens on May 2, 1940 the son of the late Mariano and Margaret (Nulty) Baudo. On April 5, 1986 he married the former Irmhild Matzen in Huntington, NY. He was employed for many years as dispatcher of the Greenlawn Fire Dept. He was also past chief of the department. After retirement he and Irm moved to Walton where they loved spending time on their farm.

Daniel is survived by his wife: Irmhild, 3 daughters, Eileen (Edward) Irving, Greenlawn; Christine (Mario) Galluscio, Florida; Barbara (Randy), Commack, NY; a son, Stephen (Alyson) Baudo, Greenlawn, 4 grandchildren, Lauren, Mario, Ashley and Jessica, 2 brothers, Paul (Bev) Baudo, Williston Park and Stephen (Terry) Baudo, Arlington, Texas; brother and sister in laws, Reinhard Matzen, South Carolina, Birgitt and Douglas Merrill, Delhi; Heidi and David Hadlock, South New Berlin, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 8, 2008 at 3 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, with the Rev. Bert More, officiating.
