David C. Mack, 58, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Wilson Medical Center with his wife by his side, following a long illness.

David was born on August 13, 1963, to Carol Mack on Long Island, NY. He grew up in East Islip, NY and that's where he met his wife Dawn, of 23 years. David moved his family to Walton, NY in 2006 and started working for the Walton Central School District as a Custodian in 2007. He was loved by all at the school and was known as the "Singing Custodian". There was never a time David wasn't singing when you saw him. David loved spending time with his family, especially his two sons, Justin and Michael. His family was his world. David also enjoyed gardening, cutting his lawn and fishing. David had many special friends and co-workers whom he loved. He treasured his friendship with Danny Hodges, who he worked with for years.

David is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Mack of Walton; his sons, Justin and Michael Mack of Walton; mother-in-law, Pamela Rose of West Islip, NY; and father-in-law, Scott Jackson and his wife Denise of Walton.

Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 12-2 P.M. at New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton. A service to celebrate David's life will follow at the church at 2 P.M. with Pastor Larry Light officiating.
