Obituary

David C. Palmatier, 66, a long time resident of Walton passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 in the comfort of his home, with his family.

David was born on March 11, 1947 in Sidney, the son of Clifford and Susan (Shultis) Palmatier. He was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1966. On May 22, 1971 he married the former Gladys Grossmann at Trout Creek Community Church. He was employed by Del-Met Corp. as a Setup Operator. He was of the Baptist faith.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, working around his home and especially watching and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Gladys, his mother Susan Palmatier; Trout Creek; his children, Brian and Roberta Palmatier, Haley and Cory Gransbury, and Tina Palmatier, all of Walton; grandchildren, Tyler, Jordynn, Dylan, Jacqlyn and Payton, son of Robert; brothers, Larry Palmatier, Ed Palmatier and Delores, Jim and Linda Gordon, sisters, Ruth McDermott, Jeannie and Jose Garcia, Linda Palmatier, Charlotte Jones, Shirley and Chet Sherman, Carol Vandermark, ; Barb Rogers, and Joyce Stanton, brothers and sisters in law, Leonard and Nancy Grossmann, Charles and Kathy Grossmann, Richard Grossmann, Raymond Grossmann, Virginia and Ray Cole, Estelle and Tom Barnhart and Ann Marie Carroll, several nieces, nephews and cousins. David was predeceased by his father, Clifford Palmatier Sr., a son, Robert and a brother, Clifford Jr.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday evening, May 30, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where services will be held Friday morning, May 31, 2013 at 11 AM, with the Rev. Bert More, officiating.
