Deborah Lynne Furman, age 66, went to be with Jesus, on Thursday, June 4, 2026 after her fierce fight with cancer. Debbie was born on December 6, 1959 in Syracuse, New York and was raised in Walton, New York by her parents William Burghart and Dorothy (Pierce) Burghart.

Debbie held various administrative roles throughout her life at places such as the Peace Plantation Animal Sanctuary and the ARC of Delaware County, and more recently acted as a HEAP assistant and worked alongside Mike in the family business. Debbie enjoyed taking long walks outside, swimming, camping, and boating with family and friends. She also loved hosting holidays and parties and cooking for her family and friends. Debbie also attended the Walton First Baptist church, where she just recently became a member.

Deb is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mike, and her children, Jay (Diana) Furman and Gina (Bryan) Fairchild. Debbie especially cherished her dear grandchildren, Riley Marie, Charley Anne, Luke William, Lillian Kate, Andrea Bea, Joanna Jay, and Francesca Lynn. She is also survived by her sisters, Theresa (William) Hoyt and Cynthia Walley, her brother-in-law, Michael Hogan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Debbie was predeceased by her sister, Michelle Hogan, her parents, and her brothers-in-law, Daniel Furman and William Walley.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 20th 10-11am with a service to follow at 11am at the Walton First Baptist Church at 55 Townsend Street, Walton, NY 13856. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Walton First Baptist Church in Deborah's honor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend St, Walton NY.
