Denise Ray Armstrong Freyer,a.k.a. Denise Klinegardner, 58, of Hamden passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home following a long illness.

Denise was born on July 4, 1954 in Walton, the daughter of the late George R. and Martha Ellet Armstrong. She was employed for many years at Chris' Flowers, Walton.

Denise attended the Riverside Church, Walton. She was a former member of the Walton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxilary. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and writing poetry. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Denise is survived by her loving family, her husband Bill, her children, Michael Klinegardner, Walton; Craig and Angel Klinegardner, Roscoe,and James Klinegardner Jr., Walton 5 grandchildren, Mary Beth, Skyler, Cortney, Brooke and Shannon; brothers, Keith and Diana Miller, Saratoga Springs; Gary and Pat Armstrong, Callicoon; Jeffrey and Carole Armstrong, Walton; and Timothy and Cindy Armstrong, South Carolina; sister, DeMaris Cable and John, Sidney; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Denise was predeceased by a son Millard Klinegardner and a brother, Larry Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Riverside Alliance Church, 110 Stockton Ave., Walton, NY with Rev. Kelvin McKnight officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
