Dennis Hyer died Friday, January 26, 2024, at Albany Medical Center. He was 77.

Born in Astoria Queens, New York to the late Henry and Vincenza (Aiello) Hyer. He lived in Staten Island, New York before retiring to East Branch in 2013. Mr. Hyer was retired from Verizon where he worked for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife Peachy of 42 years. Surviving are his daughter Tina Marie Hutter and her husband James; his daughter Denise Finn and her husband James; his daughter Amanda Kahl and her husband Michael;his son Dennis Hyer and his wife Melyssa; and his daughter Nicole Marino and her wife Alexa.

He is predeceased by his sister Janet Giacoia. Surviving are his brothers, Harry and Edward Hyer.

Mr. Hyer is also survived by his nine grandchildren; Kirsten Lantigua and her husband Brian; Frankie Morrison and her fiancé John Avine; Annika Kahl; Aden Hutter; Danielle Finn; Peyton Kahl; Christian Hutter; Hunter Hyer; and

Luca Marino.

Also surviving are his great-grandchildren; Seraphina; Valentina, Penelope, and Ricky.

And his pugs, Ozzy and Zoey.

Cremation was private. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
