Diana M. Bojo, 61, of Walton passed away Friday afternoon, July 25, 2014 at home, surrounded by her family.
Diana was born on April 17, 1953 in Hancock, the daughter of the late Jess and Juanita (Monk) Mason. On July 5, 1969 she married Francis Bojo, in Fishes Eddy. She worked as a home healthcare aide for many years.
Diana was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Walton; Walton Fire Dept., Women's Auxilary, and helping out at church. She will be remembered as a kind spirit who loved her family and enjoyed reading poems, listening to all kinds of music, except opera, and spending time with family and friends.
Diana is survived by her loving family, her husband Francis; her children, Tonia and Robert Beers, and Jason and Bette Bojo, all of Walton; granddaughter, Abbie; two sisters: Bonnie Mason of Walton; Jesse Ann and Leonard Chapman of Hancock, NY and two brothers: Peter Mason of Walton; Joseph Mason of Hancock, NY; close friends, Sandy Barse, and Bill Beckmann, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Diana was predeceased by a son, Paul, who passed 2 days after birth and her brother Paul Mason.
A graveside service at Walton Cemetery will be held on Friday morning, August 1, 2014 at 11 AM, with the Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.
Memorial contributions in Diana's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 356 North Midler Ave., Syracuse, NY 13206, or a donation to the Walton Food Bank, C/O: Walton United Presbyterian Church, 58 East Street, Walton, New York 13856.
