Diane Jean Fitch, 74, of Downsville passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with cancer.

Born May 9, 1946 in Long Beach, NY, she was a daughter of the late Elmo and Fides Simicich Giuricich.

Diane worked as an X-Ray Technician at various facilities through her career until her retirement. She loved being out in nature especially enjoying the beauty of a mountain range, loved to travel with her children when they were younger to various locations and was a wonderful cook, her family and friends always looking forward to her Christmas lasagna. Most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Jeanmaire Fitch; grandchildren Hunter Fitch, Cody Closs, Ashleigh Closs, Megan Closs, Sara Closs, Linzy Closs, Kyle Fitch and Gabriella Fitch. Besides her parents, Diane is predeceased by her son Scott A. Fitch.

A service to celebrate Diane's life will be held at a day and time to be announced by the family.
