Donald W. Hoag, 85, of Walton passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.

Donald was born October 23, 1931 in Delhi, NY the son of the late Ralph and Laura (Riddell) Hoag. On August 30, 1953 he married the former Marguerite Place. She predeceased him on January 14, 2015.

Donald retired as a Groundskeeper for SUNY Delhi previously working at Tietbohls Garage in Delhi. He enjoyed helping people working on cars, farms, moving people, and he read the BIBLE everyday. He enjoyed his 1953 & 54 Chevrolets. His other love was riding his three wheeled bike.

Donald is survived by his loving family, daughter, Debra Hadley of Charlotte, NC; Mary (Raymond "Jug") Kilmer of Walton, NY; grandchildren, Lisa and Jacob Gay, Christopher and Krystine Hadley, Mandy Kilmer and Jeffrey Lambrecht, great grandchildren, Makayla and Ty Lambrecht, Olivia, Lucy and Flora Gay, Teresa, Maya and Sebastian Hadley, Bryttni and Preston Gardepe, Brydget,and Devynn Mager; great great grandchildren, Jordan, Owen, Arabella,Preston Jr.& Dilynn, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He is also survived by a sister in law Carol Hoag. He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Hoag, and a great grandson, Dylon Mager.

Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10 to 11 AM at New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton where services will held at 11AM with the Rev. Larry Light, officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery with full military honors.
