Donald H. Howe, 84, of Walton passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, NY.

Donald was born on December 5, 1931 in Sidney, NY the son of the late Leland and Leah (Constable) Howe. On January 31, 1953 he married the former Phyllis Elderkin.

Donald retired in 1991 after 24 years with NYSEG. He was a member and later an Honorary member of the Walton Fire Department. He enjoyed boating on Oneida Lake, going on bus trips, traveling out west with Phyllis to Alaska and Branson, MO.

Donald is survived by his loving family, Phyllis, his children, Katherine and James McGrail of Walton; Sandra and Thomas Harrington of Walton; Edward Howe of Carbondale, PA.; grandchildren, Andrew, Stephen, Alison, Melissa, Alex, great grandson, Noah, brothers and sisters in law, Robert and Mary Howe of Preston, NY; Grace "Vi" and Richard Stevens of Sidney; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond, and Leland J. Howe, sisters, Marthena Signor and Leona DeMorier.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. Jay O'Connor, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton cemetery.
