Obituary

Donald L. McEntee fondly known as "Mac", 65, of Walton passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2009 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton.

Mac was born on January 8, 1944 in Rock Rift, the son of the late Harold and Amy Fuller McEntee. On February 17, 1968 he married the former Glenda Simmons in the Milford United Methodist Church. They renewed their vows on July 19, 2008 at the New Hope Community Church, Walton. Don worked as milk truck driver in his younger days until he enlisted and served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. Later he was employed by Kraft Dairy Group (Breakstones) of Walton for 35 years, retiring in 1999. Don was an active member of New Hope Community Church of Walton and was an Honorary Member of the Walton Vol. Fire Dept.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Glenda, his four children: Roger (Chrystal) McEntee of Colorado, Ralph (Tia) McEntee of Walton, Mae McEntee of Westford and Roland McEntee of Colorado; seven grandchildren: Kristen, Joseph, Destiny, Dustin, Danielle, Landon and Anderson; two brothers: Vance (Deb) McEntee of Hobart and Mark (Kate) Hinman of Rochester; two sisters: Florence Ross of Bainbridge and Shirley (John) Froehlich of Syracuse; and several nieces, nephews and cousins

Don was predeceased by a sister, Margaret and brother, David.

Friends and family may are invited to call on Thursday evening, May 7, 2009 from 6 to 8:00 PM at the New Hope Community Church, Stockton Ave., Walton where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Larry Light officating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
