Donald Moore, 85, of Walton passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2019 after a long illness.

Don was born in Maspeth, Queens in 1934 to the late Peter and Barbara (Harth) Moore.

He worked as a cabinet maker prior to joining the Army and serving in the Korean War. He later worked for ITT and then IBM, where he remained until he retired in 1993. He married the former Kathleen Gay in Baldwin, Long Island in 1962. Don was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Walton, the Downsville Lions Club and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, his children Patrick (Judy) of Oxford, Kathleen and Timothy, both of Ballston Lake, grandsons Ryan and Matthew, brothers in-law Joseph Heimbuecher and Philip DiMaria and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Peter (Frances), and sisters Beatrice Heimbuecher and Beatrice DiMaria.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Avenue, Walton with Rev. Edward J. Golding officiating. Lunch will follow at the Rainbow Lodge in Walton at 12:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Don's memory may be made to the Downsville Lions Club, P.O. Box 333, Downsville, NY 13755 or to the Salvation Army, 615 Slaters Lane, Alexandria, VA 22313.
