Donald R. Yeomans, 64, of Sidney Center, passed away unexpectedly, Monday afternoon, June 12, 2017 at Tri-Town Regional Hospital, Sidney.

Don was born February 26, 1953 in Paterson, NJ, the son of John and Dorothy (Hulme) Yeomans. He was a graduate of West Milford NJ High School. He married the former Marjorie Harper on December 31, 1976 at Upper Greenwood Lake, NJ.

Don was self-employed at Don-Mar Corp where he was a licensed blaster for quarry and general construction work. He was an officer and member of the Bluestone Assn. of Deposit.

Don was a man of few words who let his hard work, high morals and strong values speak for themselves. To his family he was a hero who could always see his integrity and huge heart, always at the ready to lead by example. He was able to fix almost anything and could often be found in his garage tinkering with his current project.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Marjorie, two daughters: Kimberly (Jim) Yeomans of Windsor, NY and Stephanie (Michael) Nostrom of Clayton, Delaware, and one son: Carl Grube of Nebraska; his mother Dorothy Carlson, California; one sister: Joyce (Jim) Geisert of California; and one brother: Robert (Beatrice) Yeomans of Walton, NY; beautiful grandchildren Alexandria, David, Kiersten, Valerie, Sharone, Brock, Gabriel, Lola and Annabel as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John Yeomans.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning, June 16, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY where funeral services will be held at 1 PM. with Pastor Marv Root, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
