Donna Palmer, 64, of Downsville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 21, 2013 at home.

Donna was born on June 26, 1948 in Jasper, Alabama, the daughter of late Elsie Barnes. On December 31, 1964 she married Gordon H. Palmer in Pensacola, FL.

Donna was a receptionist for Beck and D, Bard-Parker in Hancock, New York. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling in the Walton Bowling League and crocheting.

Donna is survived by her loving family, her husband, Gordon, her step father, Curtis Halverson of Panama City, FL; her grandchildren, Rebecca Palmer (Kyle Wood) of Walton, NY; Samantha and Tess Palmer of Gastonia, NC; her great granddaughter, Alyshia Kaydence Wood of Walton, NY; her brothers, Billy and Audrey Salter of Savannah, GA; Danny and Ann Salter of Deltona, FL and Jerry Salter of FL. She was predeceased by her son, James Edward Palmer in October of 2006, and her granddaughter, Alisha Palmer.

A memorial service will be held at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10 AM with the Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating.
